When Jason joined e-Hazard in 2012, they had a very small social media foot print. Over the years, he built a loyal audience through education, humor, and valuable content. Jason managed the companies LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook accounts.

Website Redesign

e-Hazard
October 2014 – October 2015

The website redesign of www.e-hazard.com was the largest project that Jason had solely worked on. It took him nearly a year to plan, develop, test, and launch. The new site includes Google Analytics, XML sitemaps, Google AdWords landing pages, and more.

  • Site ranks on Google's first page for all key search terms
  • Website is over 250 pages with hundreds of support files
  • Developed on Bootstrap framework (HTML5, CSS)
  • Created website architecture and naming convention of directories and pages

Search Engine Optimization

Jason has been actively involved with SEO since 2007 during his tenure at Humana. He attended SMX West in 2014, and currently registered to attend SMX West 2017. He has the knowledge for improving organic page rankings through best practices, and a passion for optimizing websites to achieve business goals.

Marketing and Branding

As the Brand & Marketing lead, Jason helped shape the brand of e-Hazard. This included an updated logo, tagline, design elements, and imagery.

College Loan Corporation
April – August 2002

Jason was part of a small team contracted to overhaul College Loan Corporation's brand. Their old image was dated so the group took a clean and simple direction. These timeless characteristics allowed the brand to evolve organically over the years while keeping the integrity of the set guidelines of the brand.

Project Management

Humana
October 2005 – October 2008

Out of 14 candidates, Jason was hired as a Marketing Web Consultant within Humana's Digital team. During the 3 years in this position Jason wore a lot of hats: he worked on 2 redesigns of www.humana.com and drove the redesign of the Physician Finder Plus tool in 2006; he was the lead project manager on several pharmacy initiatives;and he managed vendors, worked with budgets, and developed and delivered presentations to corporate stakeholders.

Jason won 2 Star Awards, and the Digital Team's Growth Driver award on several occasions in this role.

Jason and his daughter were asked to speak in Frankfort, KY, on the topic of Distracted Driving. This is a very personal story that was featured in the August 2009 issue of Seventeen Magazine.

Interactive Online Tour

Humana
November – December 2007

In 2007 Jason was one of two project managers who was given a large budget to develop an interactive tour of Humana's secured member portal, MyHumana. The purpose was to highlight the features of the portal through engagement and education. Jason worked with ad agency LBi of Atlanta (now DigitasLBi) on this project.

  • Managed $150,000 budget
  • Created and edited initial outline and script
  • Selected actor and voice-over talent for project
  • Provided feedback during production to capture tone
  • Worked with agency on post production edits
  • Finished project on time and within budget
